Nidesoft AVI Converter is a multi-format video and audio converter. It can open pretty much any video file and convert it to a variety of both video and audio formats. Nidesoft converters seem to always allow any file as an input, regardless of the format on the application's name. That isn't precisely a bad thing.
In terms of output format support, Nidesoft AVI Converter can convert files to quite a few video formats, including AVI, MP4, WMV, MOV, VOB, FLV, etc., and audio formats like MP3, WAV, M4A, and WMA.
In terms of design, this converter is pretty standard. It has a video player that seems to work well enough. It played DIVX files and FLV files with no problems. The application comes with a video editor that allows you to carry out basic operations like trimming and cropping and adding a few effects. You can also use it to touch-up your video and give it more brightness or contrast.
The files converted with this tool play well on standard players and the conversion is done very quickly. Just like all the other Nidesoft converters, there is a problem with the resolution of the video. There are a few values for resolution, but you can't set it to keep the original resolution of your files, which can be a problem for some users.
